What this compound is
Selank is a synthetic peptide of seven amino acids. It joins the sequence of tuftsin, a short fragment of an antibody molecule, to the same proline-glycine-proline tail used in Semax to slow enzymatic breakdown. Laboratories use it in rodent behavioural and neurochemical studies, particularly of GABAergic and monoamine signalling. Like Semax it comes from Russian research and is licensed for clinical use there; it has not been approved by the FDA or the EMA.
